Thompson Square announced today that the on-stage and real-life couple will no longer be a duo. In fact, Thompson Square – or “T2” as fans affectionately call the married couple – will soon become “T3” with the arrival of their first child in January 2016!

“We are overjoyed to announce that after 16 years of marriage, we are finally starting a family and are excited beyond words to begin this new journey into parenthood!"

Motorcycles, barbecue and Thompson Square all came together on Sunday to raise funds for the USO.

The award-winning country duo was part of the BBQ Backroads Ride event, which kicked off at noon on Sunday at Sloan's Motorcycles in Murfreesboro, Tenn. (2233 NW Broad St.) The ride started at 1 p.m. and ended in Lynchburg, Tenn., with a live performance and meet and greet with the band, along with a BBQ dinner.

Grand Ole Opry fans were treated to a star-studded performance Wednesday night (7/1) when Country & Bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs joined multi-platinum selling duo Thompson Square on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage.

The surprise collaboration found Skaggs and the ACM / CMA-winning “Vocal Duo of the Year” belting out an emotionally-stirring performance of the Patty Loveless classic “Some Morning Soon.” The magical moment between the two stalwart acts ended with the Opry crowd erupting into thunderous applause.

The fast-paced video for “Trans Am,” directed by award-winner Wes Edwards, was shot over a 15-hour day inside Nashville’s Soundcheck sound stage. Full of fire, attitude and sexy, arena rock-driven beats, “Trans Am” is the GRAMMY nominated duo’s first live performance video AND the first time Thompson Square’s band mates have guest starred in one of the duo’s videos.

Utilizing the actual staging and lighting rigs from Thompson Square’s live concerts, “Trans Am” showcases a grittier, fun-loving side of the married duo. The video captures the brazen passion and energy of Thompson Square’s live shows, something fans have long since celebrated.

This Sunday, Keifer and Shawna guest star on popular DIY Network program SALVAGE DAWGS. The chart-topping duo treat the Dawgs to a special performance while Mike and Tay work together to build a custom table for Thompson Square’s home.
