Thompson Square

Grand Ole Opry fans were treated to a star-studded performance Wednesday night (7/1) when Country & Bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs joined multi-platinum selling duo Thompson Square on the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage.

The surprise collaboration found Skaggs and the ACM / CMA-winning “Vocal Duo of the Year” belting out an emotionally-stirring performance of the Patty Loveless classic “Some Morning Soon.” The magical moment between the two stalwart acts ended with the Opry crowd erupting into thunderous applause.

The fast-paced video for “Trans Am,” directed by award-winner Wes Edwards, was shot over a 15-hour day inside Nashville’s Soundcheck sound stage. Full of fire, attitude and sexy, arena rock-driven beats, “Trans Am” is the GRAMMY nominated duo’s first live performance video AND the first time Thompson Square’s band mates have guest starred in one of the duo’s videos.

Utilizing the actual staging and lighting rigs from Thompson Square’s live concerts, “Trans Am” showcases a grittier, fun-loving side of the married duo. The video captures the brazen passion and energy of Thompson Square’s live shows, something fans have long since celebrated.

This Sunday, Keifer and Shawna guest star on popular DIY Network program SALVAGE DAWGS. The chart-topping duo treat the Dawgs to a special performance while Mike and Tay work together to build a custom table for Thompson Square’s home.

SALVAGE DAWGS airs on the DIY Network this Sunday, June 7 at 10 pm ET/ 9 pm CT.
